![]() A prompt window will appear saying Disabling this device will cause it to stop functioning. ![]() If it does then go back and disable the Touchscreen and then re-enable it and check if this resolves the problem.Īt the Device Manager HID Touchscreen entry right click and click on disable. ![]() Check the status of the device in the Device Status box in the General tab to see if it says “This device is working properly”. If the HID Compliant Touchscreen entry has no red crosses or yellow exclamation marks next to it and the drivers are up to date, right click on the entry and select Properties. If you get a message that the drivers are already up to date then read on. Once the drivers have been updated check if the touchscreen works OK. ![]() If the HID Compliant Touchscreen entry has a yellow exclamation mark next to it right click on the entry and click on update drivers and follow the prompts. If the HID Compliant Touchscreen entry has a red cross next to it, right click on the entry and click on enable and then check if the Touchscreen works OK. When in Device Manager, scroll down to Human Interface Devices and click on the > symbol to the left, to expand the HID list. ![]() To get to Device Manager, right click on the Windows Start button (left side of the Taskbar) and click on the Device Manager link. Check the status of the Touchscreen in Device Manager to see if it is disabled or if it has driver or other problems. ![]()
